While there is always some angst about today’s date, it is still officially Australia Day. To celebrate, we wanted to acknowledge three groups of people who are, in our minds, the absolute heroes at this time of the year.
When there is Smoke On The Hill, you can be certain that three groups of people will be mobilising – the Country Fire Authority (in Victoria … and the equivalent volunteer brigades in other states), Aussie Hay Runners and BlazeAid. While the volunteer firies are in the front line, working hard to control and then extinguish the fires while the other two get ready to pick up the pieces for the impacted communities.
This EP – which includes our recent single, The Wind Was Kind – is our tribute to these wonderful people.
