Double Standards

A news story caught our attention this morning … one that underlines that the world has gone mad.

Earlier this week, one of the major domestic (and international) airlines told a mother that she was not allowed to breast-feed her baby in public view and that she should go to the toilet to continue feeding her child. The very next day, the very same airline announced that passengers could bring their pets – dogs, cats, etc – on planes when travelling on certain flights.

So to be clear, Mum can’t breast-feed but dogs can fly in the same cabin as human passengers. We think that this is a terrible example of Double Standards.

And to the airline – you know who you are – we’d encourage you to take a good hard look at yourselves in the mirror. Only problem is that you can’t get to the mirror – some poor mother is stuck in the toilet feeding her child.
